Frequently Asked Questions
Reheating Instructions
For the best results, we recommend reheating our baked goods in an oven or air fryer until piping hot throughout.
Oven: 385°F for approximately 18–24 minutes
Air Fryer: 350°F for approximately 10–15 minutes
Products can be heated from chilled or fully thawed. Heating times may vary depending on your appliance, product size, and starting temperature, so please adjust as needed and ensure the centre is hot before serving.
Important: Traditional pork pies are designed to be enjoyed chilled, and reheating is not recommended. Heating will change the texture and the intended eating experience of the product.
Troubleshooting & Tips
-
If the pastry is browning too quickly: Loosely cover the product with foil and continue heating until hot in the centre.
-
Air fryer users: Air fryers vary significantly between brands and models, and some run hotter than the displayed temperature. You may need to reduce the temperature slightly or shorten the cooking time.
-
Always check the centre: Larger pies and frozen products may require additional time.
I’ve Lost My Pie Card… What Do I Do?!
Ah. The classic excuse.
The dog ate it.
It fell behind the fridge.
It mysteriously disappeared after “someone” tidied the kitchen.
You were absolutely certain you’d remember which marking meant steak & kidney…
Don’t worry, you’re not the first, and you certainly won’t be the last.
Our famous pie card has been helping customers decode the markings on our pies for years. Think of it as homework instructions… except this homework determines whether you’re having lamb & mint or accidentally playing steak & kidney roulette.
If your original pie card has gone missing in action, here’s your official digital replacement.
You may wish to screenshot it, print it, laminate it, frame it, or store it somewhere safe from pets, partners, and pie-related panic.
You’re welcome.

Do you offer delivery of your baked goods?
Yes — if you are located within delivery distance of one of our stores, our products are available through Uber Eats in many areas.
Do you offer delivery of your baked goods?
Yes — if you are located within delivery distance of one of our stores, our products are available through Uber Eats in many areas.
Outside of local delivery, we do not currently ship our perishable baked goods or meat products through courier services. This is due to both food safety concerns and regulatory restrictions within Ontario and across provincial borders.
Our priority is ensuring products reach customers in the condition and quality we expect, and at this time courier shipping does not meet those standards.
What are your store hours?
Each of our locations operates with slightly different hours depending on the community it serves.
Please visit our Locations page and click the link next to the store you plan to visit to view the most up-to-date opening hours.
Do you sell imported British food and drink?
Absolutely. Despite our name being British Pride Bakery, we carry a wide selection of imported British food and drinks alongside our baked goods and meats.
When we first opened, we were primarily a bakery — and the bakery remains at the heart of what we do today. It’s the foundation of our growth and reputation. However, we have evolved into a full British specialty grocer, offering everything from chocolate and crisps to pantry staples, frozen foods, and seasonal favourites.
Our goal has always been to provide customers with as complete a British shopping experience as possible.
Are your baked goods made in-house?
Yes. We proudly produce our baked goods ourselves using traditional methods and recipes developed through years of experience and research.
Producing our own products allows us to maintain full control over quality, consistency, and authenticity.
Do you make your own meats?
Yes. Our butchery products are produced using traditional recipes, including Scottish-style meats such as black pudding and haggis. These recipes are part of a long heritage that we are proud to continue today.
Do you offer gluten-free products?
We do not bake or produce gluten-free items in our facilities. Because flour is present throughout our kitchens, we cannot safely guarantee gluten-free production.
However, we do carry a selection of imported gluten-free grocery products, and we continue working to expand this range wherever possible.
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes. We supply a range of bakery and butchery products to businesses across Ontario, and we ship imported grocery products to wholesale customers across Canada.
Please contact us through our wholesale enquiry form for more information.
I always miss your sales — how can I stay updated?
The best way to make sure you never miss a promotion is to join our mailing list.
Subscribers receive advance notice of specials, seasonal arrivals, new products, and store updates directly to their inbox.
Can you open a store in “_____”?
We receive requests every day from customers asking us to open locations in communities across Ontario and throughout Canada — from Oakville to Barrie, Newmarket to Peterborough, and many more.
When we consider opening a new location, we look at several factors including customer demand, population analytics, engagement across our social media and website, market opportunity, and long-term sustainability. One of the most valuable indicators we have is customer feedback — including comments, messages, and requests we see online.
If you’d like to see us open in your area, we genuinely encourage you to let us know. Commenting on our posts or contacting us directly helps us measure interest and contributes to our planning process. Every voice we hear for a location adds to the overall picture.
Our growth plans are ongoing, and we are always exploring opportunities for future expansion.
At this time, due to regulatory restrictions in Canada regarding the movement of processed meat products between provinces, we are focused on expanding within Ontario. However, as regulations evolve and as we continue to develop our operations and licensing, we hope to explore opportunities beyond Ontario in the future.
Currently, outside Ontario, customers can find similar British-style baked goods through our family partner, The Great British Shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where production serves both retail and wholesale customers across the province.
Do you ship food across Canada?
British Pride Bakery locations do not currently ship perishable food products across Canada.
However, our family partner, The Great British Shop, ships imported British groceries and shelf-stable products nationwide.
Unfortunately, baked goods and fresh meat products cannot currently be shipped across provincial borders due to regulatory requirements and our own standards for maintaining product quality and safety during transport.
Which areas do you serve?
We currently operate multiple locations across Ontario, including Cambridge, Burlington, Hamilton, Niagara Falls, London, Mississauga, Kingston, Scarborough, and surrounding communities.
Please visit our Locations page to find your nearest store.
