Trade & Foodservice

A British menu your regulars come back for

British Pride Bakery supplies Ontario pubs, Legions, hotels, restaurants, golf clubs and caterers with the pies, breakfast meats and savouries that make a menu feel properly British.

A good British menu lives or dies on the details. The banger that actually snaps. The Scotch pie with a proper short crust, not a soggy shell. The bacon that fries the way English bacon should, cured for flavour rather than water weight. Your guests notice, and so does your kitchen when the same product arrives, case after case, exactly as it did last week.

We’re a family-run British bakery and butchery with nine stores across Ontario, and we supply operators who want that consistency without the guesswork of importing it themselves. From a busy Legion breakfast to a gastropub pie board or a golf-club function, we make it straightforward to put familiar British favourites on the plate and keep them there.

Savoury

Scotch Pie

The Saturday-at-the-football pie, done properly.

A double-crust Scottish classic: seasoned minced beef, peppered and spiced, packed into a firm hot-water pastry case built to hold its shape. The dished top is made to be filled, whether that’s a spoon of beans, a splash of gravy or a scoop of mash. Handheld, satisfying and endlessly versatile.

What it is: A Scotch pie is a small, round Scottish pie in a sturdy pastry shell filled with spiced minced beef, with a dipped top made for adding beans, gravy or mash.

Pork Bangers

The sausage a proper British breakfast is built on.

Plump, properly seasoned pork sausages with the coarse texture and gentle pepper of a real British banger. They colour up beautifully in the pan and belong at the heart of a fry-up, on a bed of mash, or split into a buttered roll. This is the taste people mean when they say a sausage should taste like something.

What it is: Bangers are traditional British pork sausages, coarser and more savoury than a North American breakfast link, named for the way they used to sizzle and snap in the pan.

Black Pudding

Crisp the edges and the whole fry-up changes.

A traditional butcher’s blood sausage with deep, savoury flavour, gentle spice and a soft crumble once it hits the pan. Sliced and fried until the edges crisp, it earns its place on the breakfast plate, the pub menu and the Burns supper. Rich, old-fashioned and exactly the sort of thing people miss from home.

What it is: Black pudding is a traditional British blood sausage blended with oatmeal and spices, sliced and fried until crisp as part of a cooked breakfast.

Scottish Sliced Sausage

The Crawford’s slice Ontario has loved for generations.

The much-loved Crawford’s sliced sausage, a flat, square-cut breakfast sausage that Ontario families have reached for across generations. Well seasoned and just the right thickness, it fries up quickly and tucks perfectly into a buttered morning roll with a splash of brown sauce. A genuine taste-of-home favourite, now sitting proudly alongside our new traditional Scottish-style Lorne sausage so you can enjoy both.

What it is: Scottish sliced sausage is a flat, square-cut breakfast sausage, fried and served in a soft morning roll. Crawford’s is the long-established version many Ontario customers grew up with.

Haggis Slice

Scotland’s finest, sliced and ready for the pan.

Scotland’s national dish in a form made for the pan: a savoury blend of meat, oatmeal and warming spice, sliced ready to fry until crisp at the edges. It slots straight into a cooked breakfast, sits proudly on a Burns Night plate, or fills a roll with a peppery, comforting richness. Deeply traditional and full of flavour.

What it is: Haggis is a traditional Scottish savoury dish of minced meat, oatmeal and spices; the slice form is cut for frying like a breakfast patty.

Pork Sausage Roll

The original sausage roll, flaky and warm.

Seasoned minced pork wrapped in light, golden puff pastry and baked until crisp and flaky. The traditional British sausage roll, with a savoury, well-seasoned filling that stays moist inside crackling layers. Best eaten warm, though few ever wait that long.

English Bacon

Thick-cut back bacon, the way a rasher should be.

Proper British back bacon, cut thick with a generous eye of meat and just a ribbon of fat, so it fries up meaty rather than shrivelling to a crisp. This is the rasher that makes a bacon roll worth queuing for and a fry-up feel complete. The bacon British shoppers mean when they say the local stuff isn’t the same.

What it is: English bacon is British back bacon, a leaner, meatier cut from the loin, quite different from the thin streaky bacon common in Canada.

Breakfast service, sorted

A proper British breakfast is one of the easiest wins on any menu, and one of the hardest to fake. We supply the components that make it taste like home: traditional bangers with a genuine snap, black pudding, Scottish square (Lorne) sausage cut for the griddle, and thick-cut English back bacon cured for flavour.

For Canadian guests who haven’t met them yet, square sausage is a flat, savoury slice built for a breakfast roll, and black pudding is a rich, peppery blood sausage that’s a fixture of the full fry-up. Familiar to your British regulars, a talking point for everyone else.

  • Traditional pork and beef bangers
  • Black pudding and white pudding
  • Scottish square (Lorne) sausage
  • English back and streaky bacon

Pies, pasties and sausage rolls that carry a menu

Our savoury range is built for foodservice: Scotch pies, steak and other large pies, pork pies, Cornish and traditional pasties, bridies, and both beef and pork sausage rolls. They plate up as a pub main, a Legion special, a grab-and-go counter line or a catering platter.

Most lines come two ways. Frozen bake-off cases let your kitchen finish them fresh to order, with straightforward oven guidance on every case. Pre-baked packs suit counters and events where you just want to warm and serve.

  • Pork pies, pasties and bridies
  • Beef and pork sausage rolls
  • Scotch eggs and traditional savouries

Consistency you can build a menu on

The point of a wholesale partner is that you stop thinking about it. Same recipe, same case size, same result on the pass, every order. Our formats are made for kitchens rather than home fridges, so portioning and yield stay predictable and your food costing holds.

Baking off in-house? Every frozen case ships with clear bake times and temperatures, so a new kitchen hand can turn out the same golden pie as your head chef.

04

An Ontario supplier, close to your kitchen

We’re on the ground here, not a distant importer or a parcel from overseas. Nine stores across Ontario mean local relationships, sensible logistics and a real person to call when a big weekend or a fully-booked function is coming up.

That footprint matters most when it’s busy. A Saturday rush, a Remembrance Day service at the Legion, a wedding block at the hotel: we plan around your calendar rather than a shipping schedule.

05

Built for your busiest events

The British calendar gives hospitality some of its best trading nights, and we help you make the most of them. Burns Night suppers, Christmas menus and party season, St George’s and St Andrew’s celebrations, and steady year-round demand from clubs and Legions.

Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll make sure the haggis, pies, sausage rolls and breakfast lines are there in the right volumes, ahead of the rush.
