British Pride Bakery is a family business built around exactly that feeling. Across Ontario, we bake, cut and source the food that turns a house into home — the real thing, made the way it should be, for the people who’ve been missing it.

Our story
Started in Cambridge. Built for a taste of home.
It started the way the best things usually do: quietly, and with a longing for home. Around 2010, in Cambridge, Ontario, a family opened a modest British shop with a simple idea — that the sausage rolls, the crusty loaves, the biscuits and the bangers you grew up with should be within reach, made properly, on this side of the Atlantic.
In the years that followed, word travelled the way it does among people who miss the same things. A shelf became an aisle. An aisle became a bakery counter, then a butcher’s block. And one shop in Cambridge became nine across the province — each one built by the same family, on the same promise.

When British Pride Bakery took on British Grocer Niagara — home of Crawford’s Butchers — it inherited more than a shop. It inherited a heritage of traditional haggis, black pudding and square sausage, and the recipes and methods behind them.
We make those specialties in-house the way they’ve always been made, so a proper butcher’s craft carries on here in Ontario.
